Varun Chakaravarthy, a member of Team India, became just the third person Indian to reach the top of the ICC T20 Bowlers Rankings on Wednesday. In line with leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, the 34-year-old advanced three spots with 1/4 periods against the UAE and 1/24 against Pakistan. Chakaravarthy, who had previously placed second in February 2025, took over from Jacob Duffy of New Zealand, who had held the top spot since March. "India spinner Varun Chakaravarthy has been rewarded for his consistent form in 2025, rising to the top of the ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings."
