India Take 1-0 Lead

India’s eight-wicket victory gives them an early 1-0 lead in the five-match T20I series.

Iyer was named Player of the Match after his unbeaten century, which provided the foundation for India’s dominant chase.

West Indies will now look to bounce back in the second T20I and level the series, while India will aim to maintain their winning momentum.

Iyer’s century also stands out as one of the biggest individual performances of the opening match, with the India captain combining power and consistency to finish the chase with plenty of overs to spare.
