Full List of Batters With Most Runs in IPL 2026: Orange Cap Standings Updated

The race for the Orange Cap in IPL 2026 has produced some outstanding batting performances, with several players delivering consistent runs for their franchises throughout the season. As of May 8, 2026, Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Heinrich Klaasen leads the run-scoring charts with 494 runs in 11 matches and currently holds the Orange Cap.

Klaasen has been one of the most dependable middle-order batters this season. His ability to accelerate during the final overs while maintaining consistency has played a major role in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s strong campaign. Unlike many top scorers who open the innings, Klaasen has achieved his numbers mainly while batting at number four, making his performances even more valuable.

Close behind him is his SRH teammate Abhishek Sharma, who has scored 475 runs. Abhishek has impressed fans with his aggressive batting approach and a strike rate above 200 during several stages of the tournament. His attacking starts at the top of the order have given Hyderabad momentum in multiple matches.

Delhi Capitals wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul occupies the third position with 468 runs. Rahul has once again shown remarkable consistency and composure, anchoring the innings for Delhi Capitals across the season.

Another SRH batter, Ishan Kishan, has also enjoyed a productive tournament with 409 runs, highlighting the dominance of Hyderabad’s batting unit this year. Young Rajasthan Royals batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has emerged as one of the breakout stars of IPL 2026 with 404 runs.

Experienced players continue to remain among the leading scorers as well. Virat Kohli has scored 379 runs for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, while Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill follows closely with 378 runs.
