Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma Hit Centuries as India Seal Zimbabwe ODI Series

India Women secured the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe with a commanding 121-run victory in the second ODI at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara on October 25, 2026. Centuries from Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma powered India to a formidable total before the bowlers dismissed Zimbabwe for 207.

After winning the opening ODI, India took an unassailable 2–0 lead in the series with one match remaining. The victory also continued India's strong run against Zimbabwe following their clean sweep in the T20I series.

Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma dominate with the bat

India faced an early setback when Smriti Mandhana departed for a duck, but Pratika Rawal and Harmanpreet Kaur steadied the innings. Rawal scored 61 off 67 balls, providing valuable support as India rebuilt after losing an early wicket.

Harmanpreet then took control with an impressive 126 off 121 deliveries, striking 15 fours. The former India captain registered her eighth ODI century and helped the hosts establish a strong platform.

Deepti Sharma joined Harmanpreet in the middle and accelerated the scoring. The pair added 153 runs for the fifth wicket, putting Zimbabwe's bowlers under sustained pressure.

Deepti remained unbeaten on 106 off 86 balls, including 15 boundaries. Her second ODI century ensured India maintained their momentum in the closing overs.

India finished on 328/6 in their allotted 50 overs, leaving Zimbabwe with a target of 329. Nomvelo Sibanda was Zimbabwe's leading wicket-taker, finishing with two wickets.

Vaishnavi Sharma and Deepti seal India's victory

Zimbabwe needed a strong batting performance to challenge India's total, but the visitors struggled to maintain the required scoring rate.

Modester Mupachikwa scored 49, while Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano contributed 46. Their 69-run partnership offered Zimbabwe some hope, but India broke through before the pair could take the chase deeper into the innings.

Vaishnavi Sharma produced an outstanding spell, taking four wickets for 39 runs in 10 overs. Her disciplined bowling prevented Zimbabwe's middle order from building meaningful partnerships.

Deepti also made a major contribution with the ball, claiming three wickets for 32 runs. Her all-round performance capped an exceptional day in which she scored an unbeaten century and helped dismantle Zimbabwe's batting line-up.

Zimbabwe were eventually bowled out for 207 in 48.5 overs, handing India a 121-run victory.
