Shreyanka Patil Leads Karnataka's Bowling Effort
Maharashtra struggled to build partnerships against Karnataka's disciplined bowling attack. Shreyanka struck at regular intervals, dismissing Mukta Magre, Anuja Patil, Shweta Mane, Shraddha Pokharkar and Isha Pathare to claim her five-wicket haul.
Left-arm pacer Monica Patel provided excellent support, finishing with figures of 4/18. The pair accounted for nine Maharashtra wickets as the batting side was restricted to 114 in its allotted 20 overs.
Shreyanka's performance earned her the Player of the Match award and marked a significant contribution to Karnataka's campaign in the domestic T20 competition.
Shubha Satheesh Anchors the Chase
Karnataka approached the target with composure, despite losing three wickets during the innings. Captain Shubha Satheesh guided the chase with an unbeaten 53 off 49 deliveries, ensuring the team stayed on course.
Karnataka reached 115/3 in 18.2 overs, completing a seven-wicket win with 10 balls to spare. The result followed their 15-run victory over Bengal in the opening match of the tournament.
Shreyanka Builds Momentum on Return
The five-wicket haul provides an encouraging boost for Shreyanka as she continues to regain momentum following injury setbacks.
The off-spinner has worked her way back into competitive cricket after an extended period on the sidelines. Her latest performance underlines her ability to influence matches with the ball and strengthens Karnataka's bowling options in the tournament.
With Shreyanka and Monica Patel combining for nine wickets, Karnataka produced a convincing all-round performance against Maharashtra. The team will look to carry that momentum into its upcoming fixtures as the Senior Women's T20 Trophy progresses.
