Brisbane Heat have signed India international Yastika Bhatia for the upcoming Women's Big Bash League season, strengthening their wicketkeeping and batting options ahead of WBBL|12.
The India wicketkeeper-batter will join the Heat for the 2026β27 competition, adding international experience to the squad as the franchise prepares for another campaign in Australia's premier women's T20 league.
Bhatia has represented India across international formats and is known for her left-handed batting and ability behind the stumps. Her signing gives Brisbane another option at the top of the order and adds depth to their wicketkeeping resources.
The move also provides Bhatia with an opportunity to gain further experience in overseas franchise cricket, competing against some of the leading players in the women's game.
Brisbane Heat will hope her contribution with the bat and gloves can help the side remain competitive throughout WBBL|12. Further details about her role and availability are expected through the franchise's official announcements.
