Rachin Ravindra, Mark Chapman Ruled Out of India ODIs; New Zealand Announce Squad Changes
New Zealand have been dealt a double injury setback ahead of their upcoming ODI series against India, with all-rounder Rachin Ravindra and batter Mark Chapman ruled out as they continue their recovery from injuries.
Ravindra is recovering from a shoulder injury, while Chapman has been sidelined with a hamstring problem. Both players require additional time to regain full fitness and will miss the India series.
In response, New Zealand have made several changes to their squad. Experienced batter Henry Nicholls has been called up for the first three ODIs, while Dean Foxcroft will join the squad for the final two matches.
Wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert, who was initially scheduled to feature in only part of the series, will now be available for all five matches.
Fast bowler Matt Fisher has also been included in the squad for the entire series. Fisher was originally selected only for the fourth and fifth ODIs but will now be available from the start of the tour.
The changes provide New Zealand with additional batting and bowling options as they prepare for a challenging assignment against India.
