The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has made an important announcement. It has said that it is pulling out of the upcoming tri-series against Pakistan because three local cricketers were killed in border attacks in the Urgun district of Afghanistan.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is putting on a three-nation series with teams from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan. The games will take place in Rawalpindi and Lahore from November 17 to 29.

The ACB did tell fans on social media, though, that the three cricketers died on their way home from a friendly match in the capital of Sharana in Paktika province. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is very sad that cricketers from the Urgun district of Paktika province were killed in an attack by the Pakistani government.

The ACB tweeted that they would not play in the three-nation T20I series against Pakistan that was supposed to take place in late November because of this terrible event and to honor the dead.

PCB has yet to respond to the attack. This will be Pakistan's second tri-series against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka in 2025. It will also be Afghanistan's first series played on Pakistani soil. Pakistan and Afghanistan were set to play twice in the three-nation series. The first match was planned for November 17, followed by the second on November 23. However, the event was disrupted when the Afghanistan team withdrew from the series as a result of the attack.
