India Eye Fourth Successive T20I Win Against New Zealand

India are looking to extend their winning run against New Zealand in the fourth T20I of the five-match series at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday.

The visitors entered the match with a commanding 3-0 lead after winning the first three games. India secured a four-wicket victory in the opening T20I and repeated the result in the second match before producing a dominant performance in Wellington to win the third game by six wickets.

The third T20I was particularly impressive, with India chasing down New Zealand's target of 199 in just 13.2 overs. Abhishek Sharma led the charge with a superb 113 off 38 deliveries, while teenage opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi contributed 45 from 19 balls. Their aggressive approach helped India seal the series with two matches remaining.

New Zealand, meanwhile, are under pressure to respond after losing the series. The hosts will be keen to use the remaining matches to regain momentum and finish the contest on a positive note.

At the halfway stage of the fourth T20I, New Zealand had reached 109/3 after 10 overs. Glenn Phillips was leading the scoring with an unbeaten 43 off 25 deliveries, including four boundaries and three sixes, while Bevon Jacobs was unbeaten on five. Axar Patel had taken one wicket for India.

India will look to control the scoring rate and take regular wickets in the remaining overs. New Zealand, on the other hand, will aim to build a strong total through their middle order.

With India already securing the series, the fourth T20I offers another opportunity for the visitors to maintain their momentum and extend their winning streak to four matches.
