Smriti Mandhana breaks Virat Kohli's record to become the first women's player in Indian ODI cricket history

The Team India star women's cricketer Smriti Mandhana has created a record as the first women's cricketer to score the fastest century in just 50 balls in the history of Indian ODI cricket against the Australia team. In total, Smriti Mandhana scored 125 runs in 63 balls, and she smashed seventeen fours and 5 sixes with a strike rate of 198.41.

The record for scoring the fastest century in Indian ODI cricket history was previously held by star batsman King Virat Kohli.

Virat Kohli scored a century in 52 balls against the Australian team in 2013 at Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Cricket Stadium. Now Smriti Mandhana has broken Virat Kohli's record in the match against the Australian team in Delhi at Arun Jaitley Stadium on September 20, 2025.
