Veteran Indian batter Paras Dogra has entered the record books by becoming only the second player to feature in 150 Ranji Trophy matches. He joins former India batter Wasim Jaffer in an exclusive list, highlighting his longevity and contribution to Indian domestic cricket.
Dogra reached the milestone on Monday, adding another significant achievement to a career that has spanned more than two decades. Since emerging on the domestic circuit in the mid-2000s, he has established himself as a dependable run-scorer in the prestigious first-class tournament.
A Consistent Performer in Domestic Cricket
Dogra has built his reputation through consistent performances and an ability to produce big innings. The 2012–13 season was among the standout periods of his career, further strengthening his standing as one of India's experienced domestic batters.
He also made headlines during the 2015–16 season when he registered his sixth and seventh double-centuries in successive innings, underlining his capacity to convert strong starts into substantial scores.
IPL Experience Adds to His Career
Alongside his achievements in the Ranji Trophy, Dogra has also been part of the Indian Premier League. He represented franchises including Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Lions during his IPL career.
While his time in the IPL brought opportunities at the highest level of domestic T20 cricket, his long-standing contribution to the Ranji Trophy remains a defining part of his career.
Reaching 150 appearances in India's premier domestic first-class competition is a rare achievement. Dogra's milestone places him alongside Jaffer in a select group and reflects years of consistency, dedication and service to Indian domestic cricket.
